Auto-generated description

Rentals United implemented a feature to auto-generate a description in English in case you do not provide it. In such a case, Rentals United takes information you provide in Step 2: Amenities and transforms it into text, which is later saved as the description in Step 3: Description. Such a description can be deleted and edited, up to your will.

Reason why implemented

Some sales channels require description to be obligatorily provided, otherwise they do not accept properties that do not have it. Missing descriptions block your listings from going live in the channels. Therefore, it had to be ensured that at least one description is always provided.

Rules and conditions

An exemplary generated description will look in the following way:

• Only English description is auto-generated this way. Descriptions in other languages can be skipped.

• The rule is in place only if the English description in Step 3: Description is empty. (Note: If you have descriptions in other languages, the English description will be auto-generated anyway).

• The rule is in place every time when a new property is created or an existing property is updated at Step 2: Amenities.

• The rules applies both to properties created via Rentals United platform and API.

• The rules does not apply if you provide a custom description in Step 3: Description.

• The rule does not apply if you have no amenities provided in Step 2: Amenities.
