Airbnb: How to switch from a check-in to a stay-through minimum stay?
There are two types of minimum stay value that channels can use.
-
Check-in minimum stay - when the minimum stay setting is checked only for the first day of the reservation
-
Stay-through minimum stay - when the minimum stay setting is checked for each day in the reservation
Example: If you have the following settings in Rentals United:
-
11-05-2021 to 16-05-2021: Minimum stay is 5
-
17-05-2021 to 20-05-2021: Minimum stay is 7
In check-in minimum stay:
-
If a reservation for a 5-day-long stay starting on 11th May comes in, it is going to be accepted.
-
If a reservation for a 5-day-long stay starting on 12th May comes in, it is going to be accepted.
-
If a reservation for a 5-day-long stay starting on 17th May comes in, it is not going to be accepted.
In stay-through minimum stay:
-
If a reservation for a 5-day-long stay starting on 11th May comes in, it is going to be accepted.
-
If a reservation for a 5-days-long stay starting on 12th May comes in, it is not going to be accepted, as it already enters the period when Minimum stay is 7 (17th May).
Depending on the pricing model you use in Airbnb, Airbnb by default uses different minimum stay types:
-
When you use daily pricing in Airbnb, Airbnb applies minimum stays received from Rentals United and treats them as check-in date minimum stays, as this is the only model they have
-
However, when you use LOS pricing, Airbnb receives a list of possible stays, which is calculated in accordance with Rentals United rules, so the minimum stay is treated as stay-through
If you prefer to use stay-through minimum stay, please contact
In any case, it is not possible to use check-in minimum stay if are on the LOS pricing model.
