Data synchronization

In order to maintain synchronization between Rentals United and Vrbo, it is ensured that both static content and ARI data are up-to-date. Read further to check which property's data is synchronized with Vrbo.

Static content

Static content (property descriptive content) refers to the type of data which changes infrequently and denotes property descriptive content. In Rentals United, it includes elements like property's basic information, amenities, description, photos or payment methods. Note that some elements of pricing are also shared with Sales Channels as part of the static content.

  • In case of the first time-time synchronization or any static content update, static data synchronization is initiated by Vrbo and performed once a day. This means that changes introduced in Rentals United will be displayed in Vrbo after 24 hours. If you are a PMS user or an API client, it might take up to 48 hours for changes to be visible in Vrbo

  • Additionally, static data retrieval can be forced by Vrbo if contacted directly by the PM.

ARI data

Availability, Rates and Inventory (ARI) data refers to the dynamic content and stands for property availability, as well as rate plans and inventory data. In Rentals United, the ARI data includes elements from Step 5: Price and availability and these are elements like number of available units, changeover days, minimum stay or prices.

  • In case of any ARI data change, Rentals United sends an update to Vrbo within maximum 5 minutes, usually instantly. Additionally, Vrbo checks for changes several times a day.

  • When disconnecting a property, the property's availability does not get blocked and Vrbo still has access to reservations.
