Resolving the PM name errors for Expedia

New clients often face an issue regarding wrong PM name and receive errors on every push attempt.

The reason for it is that some new clients are not under a valid group contract agreement with Expedia and, as a result, they do not have an API configuration profile built on the Rentals United end. Due to Expedia business reasons, only VR clients that are under a group contract are eligible for an API configuration profile.

Solve the issue

If you receive "PM name" error, reach out to your Expedia Account Manager about being on a group contract agreement. If you do not have an Account Manager, create a case in Expedia Help & Support.

Before you start

Make sure you meet the following requirements:

  • Sign a Group Contract Agreement with Expedia
  • Have 20 properties or more to onboard with Expedia
Expedia doesn't grant the API name to the VR clients unless you meet the above criteria. You need to reach out to the Expedia Account Manager to initiate the process who will then reach out to our team.

Step by step: 

  1. Go to Expedia Help & Support and select Contact Us
  2. Choose My Account and My Expedia Group lodging agreement.
  3. Go to Check on or start a new agreement for a VR.
  4. The Expedia representative will contact you.
