If you usually sign in to your Rentals United account using Google, LinkedIn or Airbnb, you might not have a dedicated password. Use this password recovery process to access specific features, such as the security options.
Restore password
Follow the steps below to create a password when you currently sign in via a third-party provider.
Step by step:
- Sign out of your Rentals United account.
- Go to the Rentals United login page.
- Click Forgot your password.
- Provide your username and click Send email.
- Go to your inbox and open the password reset email.
- Click the link provided in the email to set your new password.
- Enter and confirm your new password, then click Set new password.
Note: After creating a password, you can still use the Log in with Google, LinkedIn or Airbnb option.
Troubleshooting password recovery
If you don't receive the recovery email or can't access the password reset fields, follow these steps.
Email not received
- Check your SPAM folder in your inbox.
- Make sure you are signed out of Rentals United before requesting the link.
- Use the direct password recovery link if the standard reset option fails.
My profile page limitations
You can’t set a new password in My Profile because you don’t have an existing password. In this case, always use the Restore password method while signed out to bypass this requirement.
