Booking.com supports three pricing models:
- Daily price
- LOS pricing
- FSP pricing
The pricing model is automatically selected on the basis of data you provide to Rentals United upon adding new hotel to Booking.com. Depending on the pricing data, the pricing model is automatically selected only for the hotels added to Booking.com via Rentals United.
Detect the pricing model
Rentals United automatically detects what may be your preferred pricing model when adding new hotels to Booking.com.
The pricing model setting in Booking.com is selected per hotel according to the following rules:
- LOS pricing: If the main hotel property has at least one day with pricing that requires the LOS pricing model to be set in the channel, i.e. LOS pricing, FSP pricing, Occupancy pricing
- OBP pricing: If the main hotel property does not have a single day with pricing that requires the LOS pricing model to be set in the channel
Tip: If you already have hotels in Booking.com mapped to properties in Rentals United, your pricing model used in Booking.com will not change.
When you already have hotels in Booking.com and you map them to properties in Rentals United, your selected pricing model will not change, either.
The pricing model will be auto-detected only when adding new hotels to Booking.com via Rentals United.
Switch the pricing model
If your pricing changed after the hotel was added or mapped to Booking.com, you need to perform a full update of the listing in Booking.com to change the pricing model.
Switch pricing in Booking.com
If you ever wish to change your pricing model, you can do that in the Booking.com dashboard, following the steps below.
Step by step:
- Provide the correct type of prices.
- if you want to operate on LOS pricing model, make sure LOS pricing or FSP pricing is provided
- if you want to operate on Daily price model, make sure Daily price is provided and there are no LOS pricing or FSP pricing records
- In the Booking.com dashboard, go to Account and select Connectivity Provider.
- Click Switch providers and choose the proper one: Quick Connect LOS or Quick Connect.
- Click Connect.
- When the connection request is sent, contact the Rentals United Support Team, so that it can be accepted.
- Go to Rentals United and under the Services tab, select My Services. Search for Booking.com and open Property settings. Refresh the set-up as described in Refreshing the synchronization settings.
- Verify if the prices and availability are correct in Booking.com dashboard (click LOS Price Table in Rates & Availability).
