According to Airbnb, a higher number of positive reviews is correlated to higher number of received bookings and, therefore, higher revenue. But who has the time to review each guest?

Rentals United has a feature to increase the number of reviews you receive from your guests. With our automated reviews in place, you can simply review your guests with one click of a button or even with no action required from you at all! It takes a minimum amount of time and brings great benefits. Your guests become curious to see your opinion on them and their stay and leave reviews in return.

Semi-automated reviews

How it works?

  1. Wait till the reservation ends.

  2. Immediately after the check-out day, you will receive an email message with a suggested review and positive rating of your guests.

  3. Click the Submit button in order to make the review public on Airbnb. If you do not click the button, the review will not be sent.

  4. You will see a confirmation screen 'Your review has been sent'. The review can be submitted only once. If you click the button more times, you will be redirected to Big Card.

In case of an error when submitting the review, you will be redirected to Big Card. Then, it is best to submit a manual review by clicking the link next to the 'Create your own custom review manually'.

How to configure?

All clients have this option enabled by default, therefore no action is required from you to turn semi-automated reviews on.

However you can customise the review text, if necessary. Remember that this review text will be sent to all your guests, so do not use any reservation, property or guest details. For example, you can place an additional thank you note.

  1. Log in to Rentals United and navigate to the Guest Planner tab in the main menu.

  2. Click the gear wheel icon in the top right corner. You will be moved to the Control Panel settings.

  3. Scroll down to the Airbnb Guest Reviews section.

  4. Edit the text in the Review text field.

    By default, the review includes a 5-star rating and a generic positive review text. You cannot adjust the rating, but you can customise the review message by providing your own text. For example, you can add a thank you note with an invitation to book again. This text will be used the next time when the review is suggested.

    You can use one of the following generic review texts:

    • Thank you for staying with us! Please notify us if we need anything to be improved. My mobile phone number is +44 *** *** ***. Hopefully, all was better than imagined and you will return to us again!
      Thanks for staying with us!
      [Company name]

       

    • Thank you for choosing to book our villa for your stay! We trust your experience was enjoyable, and we genuinely appreciated hosting you. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future, either to this villa or another from our specially selected collection. Safe travels, and once again, thank you for choosing [Company name].

       

    • Thank you for being a great guest!

       

    • A lovely guest who we would welcome again.

  5. Click Save to confirm your changes.

    Negative reviews: If you think your guests do not deserve a positive review, ignore the email with a suggested review and do not send this review at all. Additionally, click the link in the bottom right corner of the message and create a manual review for this guest. Write a review and rate your guests as soon as possible as described at Airbnb Guest Reviews.

    Email notifications: You will receive the semi-automated review to your email address regardless whether you have the email notifications enabled in Email notifications or not. If you do not submit the review, you will be additionally reminded to do so 7 and 12 days after (unless the stay has already been reviewed). For details see Airbnb Guest Reviews.

Fully-automated reviews

How it works?

After the reservation ends, a pre-set review and positive rating of your guests are automatically sent and get published on Airbnb. No action is required.

How to configure?

Configure reviews the way it was described here. Once you are done, tick the automation checkbox to send the suggested review automatically 8 days after the reservation ends. This means that you will not have to perform any action to review your guests.

Negative reviews: Be alert when this option is turned on, as it may automatically send a positive review to a guest who has not deserved it. In case of a different experience and this option being turned on, rate your guests as soon as possible using Airbnb Guest Reviews to prevent auto-sending a positive review.
Email notifications: You do not have to be subscribed to the email notifications in Control panel, as automated reviews do not cause any emails to arrive to your inbox.

Automated reviews are pre-scheduled for every guest unless you disable automation for specific reservations or choose to write a manual review.

How do I enable automated reviews?
