Instant booking process
Trip.com pushes reservations in Rentals United after performing a quote request and receiving a confirmation that the reservation is possible.

A guest enters the reservation page on the Trip.com website and provides the details of a reservation (dates, number of guests etc.).

Trip.com checks with Rentals United if the property is available for the selected dates and number of guests.

Rentals United confirms if the property is available or not.
Note: Quote response price for Trip.com does not include taxes and fees. -
If the property is available to rent, the guest completes the reservation process on the Trip.com website by providing their personal data.

Trip.com inserts a booking to Rentals United.

Inserting reservation manually
It is always possible to insert reservation manually in Rentals United Guest Planner or from the Bookings tab. In such a case, the availability is blocked and the channel is updated.
Reservation details
When a reservation is received, Sales Channel provides us with the standard guest personal data (name, surname, phone number etc.) and booking details (property name, number of guests, date, price). Some channels also include additional information. All these details can be accessed in Guest Planner > Big Card or via API methods used to retrieve reservations, for example Pull_ListReservations_RQ.

Modifying a reservation
Trip.com does not support reservation modification. If a reservation was modified by the guest, it is handled by Trip.com as a cancellation of the original reservation and creation of a new one. Cancellations are pushed to Rentals United instantly.
Cancelling a reservation
Reservations can be cancelled only on the Trip.com website. If such occurs, they are pushed by Trip.com to Rentals United instantly to maintain synchronization. Note that it is not possible to cancel a reservation in the Rentals United platform.
